“Sator”

7.1

I’m torn on this one… it’s terrible, but also kind of brilliant in its own way.

The cinematography is on par with “The Revenant,” and really adds to the horror storytelling that’s attempted. The acting falls a little flat, and the story is about as original as “Paranormal Activity 37,” but the finale is still pretty solid. Again, there were so many well-crafted aspects of the film, I have a hard time condemning it to the do not watch list. It was just not entirely clear crap or genius. I say give it a chance if you’re looking for a religious/mythological horror thriller.

As usual, don’t trust grandma or anyone walking around the woods at night soaked in blood wearing a deer skull mask.
