“Sirens”

After countless healthcare Tik Tok influencers telling me I had to see this show. That it was the most realistic portrayal of EMS alongside “Scrubs” portrayal of medical residency… I gave it a try. My verdict? HOW DID THIS GET CANCELLED AFTER ONLY 2 SEASONS?!?!? I binged the entire thing in 3 days.

The characters, the scenarios, the camaraderie. I felt a kinship in the “you can’t make this shit up” nature of every episode. Trauma bonding at its finest. There isn’t a character or frame wasted in this masterpiece. Not since “Mindhunter” have I been this mad about being left hanging after such a short, albeit glorious run. Also – T and Maeve… *Swoon

“Detroiters”

This one walked so that “I Think You Should Leave” could run… Such a perfect balance of Michigander inside jokes and beautiful Detroit scenery alongside Tim Robinson’s insanity. Sam Richardson was such a perfect pairing, along with pretty much every member of the supporting cast. I have no idea how I missed this one for so long, and now feel sad that it only lasted two seasons. Wonderfully weird lightning in a bottle.

“Angels & Ornaments”

After catching this on the TV in bits and pieces at the nursing home I worked in… I then spent the next 6 months trying to track it down. There was no better feeling than finally hitting pay dirt and reconnecting with my all time favorite hallmark movie. It may be cheesy, and it may be predictable… but it still tugs at the heart strings with the best of them! An underrated cast brings the holiday spirit in rare form, and knocks it out of the park. Wrap yourself in a blanket and break out the hot cocoa… and settle in for some good old fashioned holiday magic.
