Rick and Morty led me here… no one could have prepared me for that finale. The master of time bending Christopher Nolan at the height of his powers in this puzzle box of a film he’s now known for. A stunning reveal at every twist and turn. A fantastic cast. Pure showmanship, akin to the magicians in the story. Sit back and wait to be wowed.
Short, sweet, and to the point. Much like this movie. “Speed” walked so “John Wick” could run. The entire cast rocks it in this fast paced (pun intended) thriller. Another man with a phone and taste for revenge who terrorizes society with a sinister plot endangering an aspect of everyday life. Things go fast, and things go boom. Great directing keeps things paced just right, with just the right dash of humor to let off the gas before the next buildup.
In between “Mamma Mia” films, Pierce Brosnan needed a project to inject testosterone into his portfolio and prove that he still kicks ass. “November Man” is that film. A much better film than the misfire that’s was “No Escape,” this slick, well executed spy thriller packs the punch of a Bond film without all of the constraints of a franchise film.
Side note: I hope to one day look as perfectly distinguished as Pierce Brosnan.
Remington Steele returns to the world stage to kick ass and take names as a retired CIA agent turned rogue who double crosses his oldest friend after finding out he himself has been double crossed. Delivering one of the finest finales of the 2010’s. Very well done.
Strap in and prepare for the movie Michael Bay was born to direct! Action from the very first frame to the last. Explosions and testosterone galore. All set to the backdrop of pure patriotism. One of Nicholas Cage’s finest performances, with just the right amount of manic. Sean Connery bringing an unrivaled level of sophistication and class to the screen. Ed Harris playing the ultimate bad guy you understand and sometimes almost root for. An epic film, from an epic time in American cinema.
Side note: they just don’t make trailers like this anymore.
Better than expected. Pretty middle of the road story-wise. Adventure packed coming of age story. Pixar’s patented gorgeous animation. A fun couple of hours at the theater. Bring tissues, and be ready to shed some tears… Pixar doing Pixar things. Will be a nice addition to Disney+ in a few months.
